Thursday 5th March 2020 saw Dundela transform into an array of colour, glitz and glam as we came to school dressed as a character from a book.... even the teachers and assistants joined in this fun for our Dr. Seuss themed World Book Day!
In P3BM, we started our day by talking about the character we dressed up as and why we decided on this character, as well as talking about our favourite book and why we liked it. After much chat, we learned some interesting facts about Dr. Seuss, his life and work, before listening to the story of Horton hatches the Egg.... we were super at joining in with the rhyming words!
After break we completed a comprehension about Dr. Seuss and we remembered lots of facts we had learned, before illustrating a Dr. Seuss front cover! Ms Wilson picked 4 winners and was very impressed with our artistic skills! After lunch we watched a video to teach us step by step how to draw The Cat in the Hat. We were delighted with the finished picture!
