Wonderful Winter time in Nursery
The Nursery children have had a great time exploring the frost and ice outside. We listened to the sounds that our wellies made when we walked on the frosty grass, we searched for frozen puddles and we discovered that the warmth of our hands melted the ice. We drew pictures on the powdery ice then watched how the large pieces of ice shattered when they were dropped to the ground. For Forest School this week we made a lovely Christmas tree using natural materials that we had found outside. Inside we worked together to make salt dough decorations and we had lots of fun decorating them once they had dried. We also sorted Christmas baubles by colour and made different shapes with them. We ordered boxes from the biggest to the smallest, taped them together then turned our creation into an amazing Christmas tree, which we all had fun decorating. We even made yummy melted snowman biscuits!
