We have enjoyed learning about the story Peace At Last by Jill Murphy. We had fun joining in with parts of the story that repeated. We talked about how poor Mr Bear was feeling when he couldn’t get to sleep. We used our sounds write how he felt. We worked in table teams to retell the story by sequencing the pictures of the story and we were able to complete our own story maps. We really loved acting out the story at play time and we had great ideas about how to change the story to write a similar story, as our class book. We called our story I Can’t Stand This and it was about Mr Brown, Mrs Brown and Baby Brown. We had lots of fun thinking up other noises that stopped poor Mr Brown from sleeping!
