Dundela P3 classes are studying the topic of “Eyes” and we invited Mrs Kilpatrick of Guide Dogs for the Blind into school to talk to us about her work training dogs to help blind people. We got to hear about the skills puppies need to practise before they can be fully-trained guide dogs. We also had to imagine what it must be like for their owners to train and look after them. Bessie the puppy and Rex the guide dog came along with Mrs Kilpatrick to help her explain.
