As part of our Personal Development and Mutual Understanding curricular area we made bracelets to help us remember that our class is like a family. Each colour of bead represents how we can all look after each other and respect one another.
Red is for kindness
Orange is for respect
Yellow is for being ourselves
Green is for being different
Blue is for sticking together
Purple is for making memories
We read the book ‘Our Class is a Family’. In the story it talks about how a family doesn’t have to be just who you’re related to. It can be a special group who love and care for you. Our classroom is where we can show respect and kindness to each other and know that it is ok to make mistakes. It’s where we are the best that we can be!
