We are continuing to search for the signs of Spring and we went on a lovely nature hunt to celebrate World Earth Day today. We spotted lots of different shaped clouds, leaves and petals and watched a bumble bee zoom around our lovely flowers. We have been strengthening our arms by pulling ourselves up on the play park bars and by filling up lots of large containers with water and paint. Everyone had a turn making a symmetrical picture and some children even made symmetrical butterflies with natural materials. To celebrate Eco Week we all brought in a used item from home and turned it into something special. The children made lots of wonderful creations including butterflies, homes, rockets and cars. We also read two super stories about the importance of recycling called The Life of a Cardboard Box and The Life of a Plastic Bottle.
