P3H have made a ‘flying’ start to term 2 with our new topic, ‘BIRDS.’ We have been extending our Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities through a wide range of curricular areas, indoors and out.
Our class made bird feeders and bird baths for our local birds to use. We completed an outdoor investigation in which we recorded how many of each type of bird we saw and then back in class transferred the information into a bar chart. During ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING we used the creation station to make bird mobiles and our own junk material bird houses. In teams we worked together to build bird hides and developed our ICT skills creating a POP ART style bird poster.
