To celebrate the end of our “Birds” topic the children have been having lots of fun in Nursery. We went on a bird walk. On the walk, the children made their own clay birds. They were very proud of what they created!
We have also been busy making bird feeders. We mixed lard and bird seed. The children are looking forward to taking these home. We used cheerios and pipe cleaners to hang bird feeders from the trees in our outdoor area.
The children loved baking delicious bird nest buns. They mixed melted chocolate and shredded wheat together and then added smarties for the birds eggs. The best part was eating them!
We had a “Feel Good Friday” in Nursery. We had hot chocolate and marshmallows as a Friday treat which we enjoyed together in our outdoor classroom.
