We have been learning all about birds in Nursery. We read the story Yeti and the Bird. We made our own scary Yeti’s using cotton wool. We also read the story of Little Robin Red Breast. We used recycled materials to create our own little birds.
We got on our Winter hats and scarves and went on a frosty walk around school. We looked for signs of Winter. We found lots of frost and ice! We explored the properties of ice and we used paint brushes to paint on the ice.
We learnt about the number 4 in the Rainbow Room. We tried writing the number four using the correct number formation and we had a go at counting a set of four objects.
We used feathers to mark make. We loved learning the action songs “Two Little Dickie Birds” and “Five Little Ducks Went Swimming One Day”.
