We had an amazing night here at Dundela Infants' School on Friday 1st December, when the school grounds were turned into a magical Winter Wonderland.
Thanks to the extremely generous support and help from Rev Daniel Rankin and Dundela Football and Social Club, our fabulous kitchen staff, and of course Garath and his amazing volunteers at CFC, we were able to hold a free Christmas event for all our families which included free hot chocolate, ice cream, hot dogs, candy floss, face painting and a Petting Zoo!
Our outdoor classroom turned into Santa's Grotto for the night, and all children had a chance to see Santa’s Sleigh and get a present from Santa. Everyone, including the staff, loved bouncing in the bouncy snow globe and visiting the unicorn and reindeer ponies!
The local shops and businesses (please see website for details and call in to thank and support them) were extremely generous and provided ballot prizes which raised almost £1000!
This event would not have been possible without our truly wonderful, dedicated, hardworking staff led by Mr Baker, our Building Supervisor. All staff gave up so much of their own time to organise, set up and help on the night and we are very fortunate to have the special team we have here in Dundela!
The stars of the show were our beautiful Anna Rainey and her amazing family and we were delighted to welcome Anna back to school for the evening.
£1500 was collected from generous donations on the night.
What a wonderful Dundela community we have, we are all so proud to be part of it!
